HTUF works with commercial and military fleet users, manufacturers and suppliers to find the most-promising applications and generate demand for commercial hybrid vehicles to speed the development and reduce the cost of such vehicles. HTUF’s goals are to:

• Launch and expand the commercial market for medium- and heavy-duty hybrid vehicles
• Assist military and commercial users to identify common performance needs and concerns to spur dual-use capabilities
• Speed the introduction of next-generation, high-efficiency technology and systems into the medium- and heavy-duty market
